MULTI-MILLION-POUND DEAL SEES MUIR TEAM UP WITH KIER TO ENHANCE REPAIRS FOR RESIDENTS
A NEW £15m maintenance contract is to revamp Muir’s repairs service for more than 1,300 homes and residents.
Leading infrastructure services, buildings, developments and housing group Kier is to deliver a comprehensive repairs service to residents in Muir’s East region after the Association shook hands on a five-year deal beginning in April 2019.
The agreement sees Kier take responsibility for delivering all repairs, planned works and maintenance in the area, while providing greater efficiency and an enhanced value for money approach.
“Kier have a fantastic track record in the housing maintenance sector and we are delighted to have them on board,” Nik Evans, Muir’s Assistant Director of Property Services (pictured) said.
“We are confident this deal will be of huge benefit to customers in our East region and will deliver a more streamlined and consistent approach to the repairs and maintenance service they receive as valued Muir residents.”
It will also see Kier refurbish empty properties for incoming Muir residents and result in added community initiatives such as apprenticeships and local job opportunities.
