MUIR’S NEW NATIONAL RESIDENT GROUP PROVIDE PLENTY OF NRG AT VIBRANT FIRST MEETING

MEMBERS of Muir’s exciting new National Resident Group have met for the first time after being selected to help drive improvement at the Association.

The members met at Trafford Hall in Cheshire to meet, not only with each other, but to hear from Muir’s Joint Leadership Team who delivered presentations on various aspects of the business.

NRG Nine NRG members were recently appointed following an application and interview process, after more than 500 residents responded to Muir’s recruitment campaign, and its offer to create a group which will also help govern the association alongside its own Board.

Jackie Perry, Assistant Director of Communities and Customer Service at Muir said: “To see members coming together for the first time is a real step forward for this new group.

NRG “It is the culmination of a lot of hard work, and that will continue as the role of the group fully embeds itself at Muir.

“We are excited by the prospect of what can be achieved and looking forward to see it making a positive difference to Muir residents as a whole.”

NRGNRG members enjoyed an informal chat and an evening meal before coming together the next morning to get down to business.

The group heard from various speakers, including Muir’s Chief Executive, Catherine Dixson, and Board Chairman, David Gardiner, while also having the chance to put their own points across.

NRG members are planning to meet again in August to discuss the remit of their new roles in more detail before beginning to contribute to the decisions which will help shape Muir Group Housing Association’s future.
