Muir staff go the 'eggstra' mile at Easter with hospital and charity visits

MUIR staff have been out and about donating Easter Eggs to children and families.

Staff from Muir’s housing teams visited the Royal Blackburn Hospital as well as the Save the Family charity near Chester, to hand over ‘eggstra’ basketfuls of chocolate treats.

They were donated by the Association’s employees and supermarket retailers, Morrisons and Tesco, bringing plenty of smiles to children at the hospital and families benefiting from the homeless accommodation provided by Save The Family.

Easter Eggs Joanne Commons, Community Housing Manager at Muir Group Housing Association, who visited the Royal Blackburn Hospital along with colleagues said: “Muir Group Housing Association is dedicated to helping build and provide support to communities.

“We wanted to show our support to the children spending Easter at Royal Blackburn Hospital by donating these Easter Eggs, and hope they go some way to helping them all feel better very soon.”

Easter Eggs Save The Family provides residential accommodation and support for families that are homeless (or at risk of becoming homeless) and who have multiple and complex needs.

Lynne Rowell, Senior Customer Services Advisor at Muir said: “The Muir staff association held an event which saw employees donate a host of Easter Eggs for charity.

“We are delighted to present them to Save The Family who do so much vital work for families in the community.”
