MUIR NAMED AMONG ‘TOP 50’ LANDLORDS AS CHIEF EXECUTIVE EMPHASISES COMMITMENT TO RESIDENTS

MUIR has flown into housing’s coveted ‘Top 50’ after the Association was named among the best landlords in Britain.

The list, published by 24Housing, sees Muir ranked at number 34, among hundreds of landlords entering the charts from across the UK.

Catherine Dixson, Chief Executive at Muir, says the achievement is testament to the continued progress being made at Muir, fulfilling its vision, and its commitment to residents throughout its 5,500 affordable homes.

Muir staff “This recognition underlines Muir’s continued commitment to providing residents with homes they can be happy in and services that provides them with valuable support,” said Catherine (pictured).

“We’ve worked hard to deliver on that vision and we’re pleased it's having plenty of positive outcomes.

“While we retain the highest possible G1 and V1 ratings for Governance and Viability from the Regulator for Social Housing, it’s fantastic that our efforts and achievements are also being recognised by the wider housing community and the sector as a whole.

“But ultimately everything we do is focused towards our residents and showing ourselves to be a trustworthy and caring landlord they can have confidence in.”

Top 50 landlordsThe ‘Top 50’ achievement is the latest in a line of recognition for Muir after it was shortlisted in the ‘Landlord of the Year’ and ‘Best Resident Involvement Initiative’ categories at the recent Northern Housing Awards.

Muir resident, Daniel Pendlebury, received the ‘Tenant of the Year’ award at the same event, and the Association was also recognised for its engagement with residents by being shortlisted at the 2019 TPAS Awards.

Sector data analyser, Housemark, also ranked Muir in the top 25% of all housing associations for six of eight customer satisfaction categories, and the top 50% for the remaining two in its latest benchmarking tables.

“It’s great to have such wonderful recognition and it shows we are moving in the right direction,” Catherine added.

“But most importantly we are always looking to improve and build on what we have, so we can continue providing people and families with affordable homes and lifestyles.”Top 50 landlords
