‘LARGEST’ MUIR DEVELOPMENT CLIMBS HIGHER IN BLACKPOOL AS ‘THE BIG ONE’ OFFERS AFFORDABLE LIVING – SEE LATEST PICTURES

WORK at Muir’s single largest development for a decade continues to climb as new residents look forward to affordable seaside living.

The 44-home build is regenerating a former factory site on Blackpool’s Watson Road, providing people with positive futures and an affordable alternative to rising costs.

Watson Rd A mix of 27 two-bed, 15 three-bed houses, and two two-bedroom bungalows are well underway as Muir Group Housing Association works with MCI Developments to make all the homes available for affordable rent.

“We are delighted with the progress of this development and can’t wait to welcome new Muir residents into these homes,” Muir’s Development Manager, Alex Fury said.

The pictures show the progress being made at the site, with the development expected to complete during the next 12 months.

However, it is anticipated the first homes will become available this June, enabling new Muir residents to enjoy their new gardens throughout the hot summer months.

Cllr Christine Wright, Cabinet Member for Housing at Blackpool Council said: “This scheme will deliver new, quality family homes that are the most sought after in social housing.”
