HAPPY RESIDENT CONTACTS NEWSPAPER TO PEN ABOUT ‘PERFECT’ MUIR
A HAPPY Muir resident has touched the hearts of staff after expressing her love for her ‘perfect’ landlord in the pages of a local newspaper.
Nicolette Richards has been a resident with the Association for more than 14 years, living in her flat in Blacon, near Chester, where she enjoys being part of a helpful Muir community.
She wrote to the Chester Standard newspaper to describe the joy she feels at living with Muir, and her letter made the pages of the newspaper’s June 14th edition, giving Muir staff the feel-good factor as they read Mrs Richards’ kind words.
“Muir looks after us tenants perfectly,” Mrs Richards wrote in her letter. “I am very happy here.
“The flats are mostly for pensioners and they, like me, are very grateful to Muir and we help each other.”
Mrs Richards, who is hard of hearing, told of her delight at having a flashing door bell system installed by Muir when she told her Tenancy Services Officer about her problem.
“I was delighted,” Mrs Richards said. “A while ago Muir also arranged for us to have new bathrooms with modern showers.
“Muir often does maintenance work to keep the flats up to a decent standard, and tenants are allowed to keep the communal garden neat and tidy, with gardeners to cut the grass.
“I am a most grateful tenant of Muir Group Housing Association,” Mrs Richards added.
Muir Tenancy Services Officer, Jenny Toner, who visited Mrs Richards to deliver a card following her letter to the newspaper said: “Everyone at Muir was delighted to read such kind words.
“It was a lovely surprise to see them in the newspaper and we are grateful Mrs Richards took the time to contact them.
“We are proud that she enjoys living with Muir so much and pleased that our efforts as a landlord shine through.”
