MUIR SHORTLISTED FOR TWO NATIONAL COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AWARDS

MUIR has been shortlisted for two prestigious national awards celebrating engagement in the community.

The Association’s newly-formed National Resident Group (NRG) and its ‘Brighter Days’ initiative have both been recognised by leading tenant engagement experts TPAS in their 2019 Awards.

Both the NRG and Brighter Days projects have been selected alongside schemes from more than 200 housing associations, local authorities, resident groups and contractors throughout England.

NRG And Muir’s Assistant Director of Communities and Customer Services, Jackie Perry, says the TPAS announcement recognises Muir’s dedication to working both with its own residents and members of the wider community.

“It’s absolutely amazing to see our work recognised in this way,” Jackie said.

Smithy Court“The NRG and the Brighter Days initiatives have captured the imagination of the communities in which we work and the fact that TPAS have recognised this underlines the hard work Muir has put into delivering these projects and providing solid foundations for their success.

Muir’s NRG is shortlisted in the Outstanding Tenant Engagement – Small Landlord (under 10,000 homes) category, having been formed in 2018 following a successful campaign which saw hundreds of residents respond to invitations to help shape future services at the Association.

TPASThe Association’s Brighter Days project has been shortlisted in the Excellence in Engagement in Support and Care Award following its success in helping reduce isolation for vulnerable people in the wider community.
